TL;DR — which tier should you pick?
**Solo (just you, no collaborators):** Claude Pro. Shared-workspace features in Team are wasted seats; same Claude model access at lower cost.
**Duo (you + one partner, separate projects):** Claude Pro × 2 still wins if you don't share documents inside Claude. Switch to Team if you're editing the same Projects or want one invoice.
**Team of 3–5 (any shared work product):** Claude Team. The moment three people contribute to the same Project or Knowledge Base, Pro starts losing data, context, and audit trail.
**Team of 10–25 (regulated industry or compliance-sensitive):** Claude Team — and the zero-retention default alone justifies it. Per Anthropic's commercial terms, Team and Enterprise inputs are not used to train models and are subject to zero retention by default; Pro is not.
**25+ seats with SSO/SAML, advanced audit, or procurement requirements:** look past Team to Claude Enterprise. Enterprise adds SAML SSO, advanced audit log export, and custom data residency on contract terms.
**Engineering teams shipping with Claude Code:** Team seats currently bundle Claude Code usage that Pro caps tighter. If even two engineers will use Claude Code daily, run the bundling math before defaulting to Pro.
